Dubai introduced a fresh artificial-intelligence education platform aimed at informing parents about their kids’ AI usage and steering them toward safer, more responsible technology practices in daily life overall.
The GenDubAI platform is designed for families with kids between 8 and 15 years old, and was developed by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the Community Development Authority and Dubai Future Foundation.
GenDubAI serves as an online educational platform where parents and kids can learn about artificial intelligence through hands-on guidance and interactive activities.
By using this platform, parents can gain a better understanding of the basics of AI, the tools their kids may use, and the potential benefits and drawbacks.
The platform addresses common questions about AI and guides children in using AI tools effectively while supporting their creativity and critical thinking skills.
The content on GenDubAI is tailored to align with the values and culture of the UAE, making AI education more accessible to families and not just limited to schools or tech experts.
GenDubAI Creates Family AI Learning Moments
The platform focuses on creating ‘family moments’ where parents and kids can explore AI together through daily activities and conversations.
According to the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, this approach helps families track children’s learning progress and actively participate in their development.

Saeed Al Falasi, Executive Director of the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, stated: “This first-of-its-kind platform aims to help children benefit from the limitless opportunities of AI under the direct guidance of their parents, enabling families to follow their children’s progress with ease. Gen DubAI reflects local values and cultural identity while supporting children’s learning, creativity, and intellectual development.”
The initiative responds to the growing integration of artificial intelligence into children’s education and daily activities.
Dubai Leaders Emphasize Family Role in AI Education
Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority, emphasized families’ role in helping younger generations use AI responsibly.
“In Dubai, we believe that preparing for the future begins with people, and that empowering future generations with the tools of tomorrow must go hand in hand with awareness, values, and responsibility. With this in mind, the GenDubAI platform places families at the heart of the AI learning journey, transforming technology into a shared space for learning, dialogue, and creativity within the family,” she said.
The platform aligns with the goals of Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the UAE’s Year of the Family, focusing on strengthening family engagement and preparing children for a technology-driven future.
Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, added: “The UAE is among the world’s leading countries in the adoption of AI, in parallel with growing levels of smart-device use among children in and outside schools. Through this initiative, we aim to help parents confidently guide their children in benefiting from the opportunities offered by AI while also understanding its challenges. Knowledge of safe and responsible AI use is one of the greatest gifts parents can give their children to help them thrive in the age of AI.”

The website offers educational content in Arabic and English, optimized for mobile devices. The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence noted that the platform will evolve, with additional content, educational pathways, and tools planned as AI technology advances and families’ needs change.
