ZEGNA is transforming the suit from mere officewear into a symbol of enduring legacy. Through its Su Misura custom service, the Italian luxury house shifts focus from mass-produced garments to bespoke craftsmanship, enabling clients to craft pieces that embody their identity and transcend eras.
The initiative transcends standard alterations like fabric choice or sleeve length. Instead, clients work directly with tailors to sculpt every element, structure, proportions, buttonwork, and inner linings, yielding garments that feel both effortless and uniquely personal. As one tailor explains, “We spend hours on a single seam. Not because the man will notice. Because he will feel it, without ever knowing why.”
The brand’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, centered on the theme “A man in a suit thinks differently”, showcases three heritage-inspired designs. The Trofeo fabric, launched in 1965 from superfine Australian merino wool, anchors the lineup alongside the Abito #1 suit, reimagined from founder Ermenegildo Zegna’s 1930s tailoring traditions, and the Falcon Jacket, drawn from the brand’s alpine heritage. Each selection shows ZEGNA’s mastery of materials and timeless design principles.

A defining moment in the campaign features global ambassador Mads Mikkelsen visiting a tailor, not for personal adjustments, but to modify a jacket for his son. The gesture frames tailoring as an act of legacy, where clothing serves as a tangible link between generations. For ZEGNA, the process extends beyond sizing; it involves creating garments that commemorate life’s key moments and hold emotional significance.
The tailors themselves describe their work as more than fabric manipulation. “I am not just shaping a beautiful suit,” they say. “I am shaping the shoulders that will carry a great life.” This vision, garments built to endure, sets Su Misura apart from transient fashion trends. Precision defines the measurements, but the intention is generational continuity.
The brand’s commitment is further evidenced by its Zegna Foundation, which supports textile innovation and artisan training. Initiatives like the Wool Lab, launched in 2023, focus on developing next-generation fibers that reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. This dual focus, on heritage techniques and forward-thinking sustainability, reinforces ZEGNA’s role as a leader in redefining luxury.
